Voicing for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee | June 2022

Commissioned by the National Archives UK, this project was a right royal treat!

Narrating alongside Tarrick Benham, the film tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 year reign using genuine historical sources, music and footage from The National Archives and The Royal Collection. The team have also created a brilliant collection of free resources for schools.

My not-so-inner history nerd was thoroughly satisfied to bring this script to life..!

What A Night! OVA ’22 | May 2022

✨️ My first One Voice Awards! ✨️

To be nominated for Best Character Performance (Animation), alongside such stellar talent, was pretty special.

Check out my nomination nearby – the voice of the host for the Science X Festival at the University of Manchester, produced by Born Communication!

The standard of work across the board was unsurprisingly fantastic. Congratulations to Marilla Wex for the win! As a newbie in comparison to many in the space, there was so much to learn & enjoy from simply soaking up the talent & generosity of spirit in the room.

And it was cause for celebration not only to meet friendly new faces in the industry, but also faces that I have known only through mics and screens for the past 2 years! Finally!

Thank you to Peter DicksonHugh Edwards & all the team at Gravy For The Brain for supporting the VO community and creating this space for recognition. There were so many joyful, welcoming conversations that made my night. The voiceover industry can be a uniquely solitary experience, so to be able to share & celebrate it is not only important, but total rock n roll 🎉

Voice of Flymo 2022 | April 2022

Having loved voicing for Flymo on a few of their more internal projects, I was delighted to be invited to voice their current UK television commercial.

In this day and age, we all want an easy life – and Flymo have hit the nail on the head with this brilliant bit of kit! Right, where’s the Pimms…

Nominated for One Voice Awards 2022 | April 2022

I was delighted to find out that I’ve been nominated for Best Character Performance in an Animation at this year’s prestigious One Voice Awards!🏆

Congratulations to all the nominees – what an honour to be listed amongst this amazing talent for my first ever award in voiceover 🎉

A lot has changed in the last 3 years, and this is certainly a lovely chance to reflect on my VO journey. Long may it continue to throw new challenges, opportunities & absolutely brilliant creatives my way 🤌 better start picking my outfit for the awards…!

PBS Debut as Call The Midwife S11 hits the US | April 2022

I’ve received some lovely messages after the airing of S11 E4 of Call The Midwife in the US – which was also my debut on PBS!

It’s so heartwarming to see how well this season has been received.

Fans will be even more delighted to know that it’s been commissioned for a further two seasons – Poplar ain’t quietening down any time soon!

Shooting on location for The Square | March 2022

It was an absolute treat to spend a week on location in Buxton to shooting the latest short film from Raindance-nominated writer, Thomas Arensen, and Prague International Film Festival winner, Amelia Lander.

What an incredibly talented cast & crew. A huge thank you to every donor who made this project possible!

I play the flamboyant Anne Smith opposite the wildly talented Cassie Vallance. Release date later this year!

BBC Debut in Call The Midwife | Jan 2022

“I’m always game for a challenge” 😉

Making my BBC debut as Ivy Jepson in Call The Midwife has been a rather special milestone!

It was pleasure to work on this production – a talented and incredibly welcoming team across the board, bringing so much brightness amidst That Thing Wot Has Shut The World Down For Almost Two Years. Feels very special to share this work with you all 🎬

Voice of Moonpig’s Letterbox Gifts Campaign | October 2021

I love what Moonpig do and over the last rather isolated year and a half, I’ve definitely appreciated keeping in contact with my special peeps by using their services 💌🌻

What a pleasure it was to voice for a brand I use & enjoy! Thanks to Jordao Ranshaw and the Shoot You team for the collaboration 🙌

Shooting for Father | October 2021

Put her in some victory rolls and we’re onto a winner, old chum!

Here’s a few BTS photos from a recent shoot for FATHER, a short film in collaboration with Slick Showreels.

It was a pleasure to be back working with the Slick team and what a treat to transport back to wartime Britain for this piece.

Shooting for Call The Midwife | August 2021

The highlight of my year so far!

Shooting for CTM – and having the honour of giving screen-birth to (spoiler alert!) not one, but TWO babies – was simply a joy and a privilege. Thank you to all the cast, crew and support team who welcomed me so warmly and made every day a fun one.

Here’s a little sneak peek of my one of my looks. 60’s chicks – I’m coming for ya.

My First Theatre Performance in Almost Two Years! | July 2021

After an isolated, challenging eighteen months (for us all!), stepping onstage at the Vaults made me feel like a superstar.

David Frias-Robles is one of the most refreshing directors I have ever worked with. Phoebe Street is without a doubt a writer to keep your eyes peeled for. An evening bursting with new talent and new writing was the perfect return home to the boards – thank you Pathway Theatre!
